TETRA, DMR & MCPTT Integration
Cortexa connects to the major PMR and PTT radio standards used in industrial and public safety environments. It requires no changes to existing radio hardware and operates alongside existing dispatch and recording infrastructure.
Supported radio standards
- TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) — used in European utilities, emergency services, airports, rail
- DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) — widely used in industrial sites, oil and gas, construction
- P25 (APCO Project 25) — used in North American public safety and utilities
- LTE-PTT / MCPTT (Mission Critical Push-to-Talk over LTE) — 4G/5G PTT for critical communications
- Broadband-PTT — over-IP PTT platforms used in modern industrial deployments
- Analogue PMR — legacy analogue radio via audio bridge
Radio equipment vendors
Cortexa has been developed alongside and is compatible with equipment from major PMR vendors including Hytera, Sepura, Motorola, and others. Specific compatibility details are available in a technical scoping call.
Integration architecture
Cortexa sits at the audio layer of the radio network, not at the radio device layer. This means:
- No firmware changes to radios
- No changes to network infrastructure or dispatch consoles
- Integration at the recording tap, audio matrix, or network controller output
- Deployment on a dedicated server on your network
- Compatible with existing logging and recording systems
Multi-vendor environments
Many industrial sites use radios from multiple vendors across different standards. Cortexa handles mixed-standard environments from a single deployment, normalising channel audio from TETRA, DMR, and broadband-PTT into a unified intelligence layer.
Existing integrations
- Work order and CMMS systems
- Identity and access management (for supervisor authentication)
- Reporting and business intelligence platforms
- Incident management and safety management systems
