Shift Handover Integrity

Shift handover is one of the highest-risk moments in industrial operations. Equipment states change, permits carry over, faults go unresolved, and verbal context that existed in the outgoing shift's heads does not transfer to the incoming team. Cortexa eliminates the gap.

The handover problem

Manual handover logs depend on what operators remember to write down and have time to record. Radio communications during a shift contain far more operational context than any handover log captures: near-misses not formally reported, equipment behaving abnormally but not yet flagged, verbal agreements between operators, and partial jobs left mid-task.

What Cortexa does at shift change

Evidence and verification

Every item in a Cortexa handover summary is linked to the radio transmission that produced it. If an incoming supervisor disputes what they were told, the audio and transcript are available for review.

Compliance and audit

Handover records are retained with full audit trail — reviewer identity, timestamp, and any corrections made. They are exportable for regulatory inspection, insurance review, and incident investigation.
